ARE YOU VALUABLE?

You are your most valuable asset

Right! You’ve probably heard that a number of times before....

Along with self-esteem, self-compassion, self-acceptance, self-respect, self-confidence, self-love, self-care and the list goes on…

The most vital is self-worth. Having a sense of self-worth means that you value yourself and having a sense of self-value means that you are worthy

But how do you create your value and have self-worth

Showing the world that you love and respect yourself teaches others that it’s ok for them to do so too – so that is a really good place to start with your thinking.

Things that really matter when determining people’s worth – including your own: kindness, compassion, empathy, respect for others, and how well you/they treat those around them.

I love this quote ‘your value doesn’t decrease base on someone’s inability to see your worth’ it reminds me that whenever I notice that voice, that inner critic, starting to have a go, I can make it pause for a moment and ask myself whether there’s any basis in fact, am I being kind or not, am I telling myself something that I actually need to know – if none of those are true, I ask that inner critic to leave! If it’s not helping or serving me then I don’t need or want it

If you find yourself constantly trying to prove your worth to someone, you have already forgotten your value

But you do need to develop the right mindset, be prepared to work consistently on yourself, to work on your own problems and difficulties and starting with the few items below can go a long way

  • Stop comparing yourself
  • Don’t settle
  • Start appreciating
  • Create healthy relationships
  • Learn to say no
  • Set your boundaries and stick to them
  • Stop moaning and focus on the good things
  • Follow your heart – it knows the way

‘It takes courage to grow and become who you really are’ (quote by EE Cummings) because the moment you value yourself, the whole world values you

I dare you to be your most valuable asset
